:1 Try bigger grain sand & create lots of hiding space by adding driftwood, pebbles etc. And do remember parrot loves to dig which is fun to watch but also additional work to maintain the tank setting.

:1 But would avoid the case. Foods rich in caretonoids and astaxanthin will help in maintaining the color.

Thanks for Info.
I thought fading of color is something to do with temperature change.
i have seen Parrot fishes sometimes biting Oscar at times, is it natural for parrots.
Texas also chases most fishes but don't harm anyone.

parrots are hybrid of red devil so aggression is in their genes only ,
Cichlid will form their territories and try to defend it so aggression will be there in cichlid tank try to provide more hiding place.

Hi All,

Well, all my fishes looks in good shape except the Two oscars who are not eating for last 3-4 days.

They go and sit near the filter inhaler but does come up at feeding time but don't eat anything.
One day they just ate 1-2 pieces of peas but apart from that they have not eaten anything for last 4 days .

They look little faded in colour but nothing on Body externally.

Kindly advice the problem.

The tank temperature is around 30 Deg.

Thanks & Regards,
Rahul Aggarwal

Try adding few guppies and check if they consume them.
